Justification

We believe that this promise is in the process of being fulfilled due to the fact that new locations are indeed opening during Holt’s term. However, it remains to be seen whether the goal of opening 55 new locations during the next term will actually be met. If this is achieved, we will consider the promise fulfilled.

Tantramar has officially joined the Nursing Homes Without Walls program, a community-driven initiative designed to help seniors age comfortably in their own homes. (…) Piloted between 2019-2023, Nursing Homes Without Walls started in four rural New Brunswick communities. It’s official launch at the Drew is now the 27th Home the program is operating in, with funding from the Public Health Agency of Canada under the Healthy Seniors Pilot Project.

The official opening ceremony was held today for a new Nursing Home Without Walls location in Medley and Neill halls of the Shannex complex in Fredericton.

Justification

The mandate letter for Lyne Chantal Boudreau, Minister responsible for Women’s Equality and Seniors, outlines this commitment. As mandate letters define ministerial objectives, this indicates the expectation for her to address it. Therefore, this promise remains an ongoing priority, and we will monitor its implementation.
