Promise History

1.10.033 - Immediately deliver retention payments to show our respect for nurses and examine other tools that aid retention and recruitment.

Published: Nov 2024
Kept
19-Jan-2025
Justification

We believe this promise has been fulfilled, as the promised retention bonuses have indeed been distributed. We will revisit our assessment later in the year, considering that another retention bonus of $5000 has been announced for nurses.

Premier Susan Holt has announced the $10,000 payments promised on the campaign trail will be sent to 9,950 nurses before the year’s end.

In progress
13-Dec-2024
Justification

Traces of this promise can be found in the mandate letter addressed to the Minister of Finance, René Legacy. Since mandate letters outline the objectives that each appointed minister is expected to fulfill during their term, we consider this promise to be ‘in progress.’”
