2.12.08 - “A re-elected CAQ government] will invest an additional $400 million to implement many of the solutions identified in the Health Plan. These investments will be used to train and recruit 660 more doctors and 5,000 more healthcare professionals. They will also give them greater autonomy and powers to deliver more care. The government is increasing medical admissions to reach a total increase of 660 new registrations over four years. This will enable more doctors to be recruited, but is not linked to additional investment.
“The Minister of Health, Christian Dubé, along with the Minister of Higher Education, Pascale Déry, announced today that they will increase medical admissions by 404 places over the next three years, reaching a cumulative additional 660 over four years in 2026-2027, as the government has committed to do.” (Traduction)”

This training center will be used to train the next generation of doctors and healthcare professionals.
“The next generation of doctors will soon be trained at Hôtel-Dieu de Lévis. The project to build a teaching pavilion in the Chaudière-Appalaches region is progressing towards fall 2022.”
